The Technical Services Department is headed by a Director and comprises of 2 Units with each Unit headed by a Deputy Director. The Units are Policy, Planning & Research Unit, and Compliance & Taxpayer Education Unit. In addition, the Deputy Director in each Unit is assisted by Managers who head Sections and oversee the day-to-day operation and supervision of the Unit.
The Policy, Planning and Research Unit is responsible for providing policy, planning and research services, and management of revenue statistics and other relevant information of the Authority. The Unit currently has a number of support staff who assist in the day-to-day activities in the areas of report writings, data analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), amongst others as outlined in the matrix below. The Compliance and Taxpayer Education Unit is responsible for promoting voluntary compliance through taxpayer education campaigns such as seminars, workshops, training, TV, and Radio shows etc. The Unit has a number of support staff conducting taxpayer education campaigns with the objective of enhancing voluntary compliance.
