Gambia Revenue Authority Collecting Revenue for National Development

The Department is headed by a director and comprises of two Units, which are Enterprise Risk Management, Reforms & Modernization, and IT/MIS. Each Unit is headed by a Deputy Director who is assisted by head of Section called Managers.

This Unit has three Sections namely Enterprise Risk Management, Reforms & Modernization and Intelligence.

Enterprise Risk Management Section

This Section makes sure that Risk Management is championed and integrated at all levels of the Authority;

• Coordinate the development of corporate risk policies, strategies and procedures;
• Ensure that corporate risks are identified, recorded, managed and mitigated;
• Maintain a well corporate risk management framework and risk register; and
• Develop, implement and maintain Corporate Business Continuity Plan.

Reforms & Modernization Section

This Section is responsible for coordinating the implementation of Reforms & Modernization Programs, Projects, and activities under the Project Management Office.

• Coordinate the development and implementation of Reform policies and strategies;
• Coordinate the Process of identifying, approving and implementing projects and programs;
• Coordinate the appointment of project Director, Manager, Team Members and Steering Committee Members of approved Projects; and
• Develop and implement a project monitoring and reporting framework.

Intelligence

This Section coordinate the methods of information collection, processing and reporting.

• Responsibilities of Intelligence officers;
• Usage of communication and technical equipment;
• Collect and analyze information;
• Contribute to the identification of risk areas;
• Identify and manage information sources;
• Handle informants;
• Disseminate the intelligence in time; and
• Re-assess the effectiveness of the intelligence.
